Consisting of three
separate but contiguous parcels, the property stretches from the end of Lynn
Drive up to
Foothill Road at Ventura's northeastern border. Originally, the land the
Gould's owned in this section of Ventura consisted of 60+ acres of lemons, bordered by the
present day streets of Loma Vista, Foothill, Agnus Dr and Willowick Dr.,
including the current site of Loma Vista Elementary School. Over the years
parts of the property were sold off or donated to leave what remains today of a gentle
country estate.
 Behind the electric gate
you enter a place where serenity and quiet predominate. The massive trees
that greet you upon your first entrance bring to mind how graceful but
powerful nature can be. The three giant California Oaks were transplanted as
saplings from the bed of the Sespe River. The large driveway and car-park can accommodate up
to 20 cars, and the undeveloped portions of the property leave room for many
more, even as it is today. Above you stately eucalyptus, palm and oak trees
shelter some of the sunlight but leave plenty of room for the views.
 Straight up the drive after
you enter is the 4-car garage, rebuilt in the early 1980s to be able to
accommodate not only the vehicles and tools (there is also a 1/2 bath) but
also to make the possibility of a 2nd story a very real consideration.
Within the conservation easement there are notes that would allow a guest
quarters or even a visitor's center to be built there. The driveway
continues pass the garage and enters the 2nd and 3rd parcels of the estate,
all included in a purchase.
As you continue past the garage, the second of
the three parcels is in front of you. It is a long, meandering, somewhat
cigar-shaped parcel that starts at the end of the driveway and continues up
a path which, by the easement, can be converted (with City approval) to an actual road/driveway
that ends at Foothill Road. It is only partially fenced at this time.

Turning right after you pass the garage, you
enter the third parcel. This parcel surrounds the northern and eastern sides
of the residence parcel, and it is the former location of a lemon grove,
many years gone. There is plenty of room on this parcel to build a pool,
pool-house, tennis court(s) or simple pathways.
